Understand the framework

Write a useful logline

Connect an actor, pressure, objective and cost in a compact dramatic situation.

Name the difficult pursuit #

Describe who pursues what, under which pressure, and what the pursuit can cost. Prefer a concrete conflict over a list of topics. A logline expresses a promise without revealing every event.

Test the meaningful choice #

Bilbo, a home-loving traveler, joins Thorin’s quest to recover stolen treasure, then risks their friendship to prevent a fight over its possession. Thorin leads the company; Bard represents people seeking a settlement. Their competing claims make Bilbo’s practical task a costly relational choice.

The mercy-focused teaching Seed isolates a single strand for learning.

Read it back against the work #

Check agency, stakes and resistance. Do not turn an interpretation into an unsupported motive. For a new story, generated variants are options to review rather than established facts.

Try the logline generator #

Explore formulations in the logline generator, then select the promise to develop.
